Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking Primary Teachers to fulfil day-to-day bookings all across Hampshire! With the increase in cover requirements rapidly coming through, we simply need your help!
At Reed, we cover all sectors within the education sector including Primary, Secondary and Specialist provisions. We support schools with not only permanent vacancies, but with day-to-day needs and long-term absence covers to allow the schools to stick with a smooth-running environment not to affect the level of learning that is expected for children and young people.
We’re currently seeking a number of supply teachers to fulfil bookings and placements across Hampshire to support with both Pre-booked and emergency cover needs.
What do you need to become a supply teacher?

> Hold Qualified Teacher Status and be readily available for bookings (once cleared through our compliance process)

> Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - this can be obtained through Reed (with the potential to receive a refund on DBS expense after 20 working days)

> Good flexibility and availability for bookings within your local area - approximately within 30 minutes travel from your home location at a maximum

> Open to working within a number of local schools as well as different year groups

> Passionate about teaching and making a difference within the classroom

> Uphold safeguarding practices to ensure a safe learning environment
What are the steps to becoming a Supply Teacher?

> Initial Call - this will be a phone conversation to discuss your experience, preferences and availability and to discuss the registration process

> Registration call - this will be a video call (via Teams) to virtually confirm identity and to discuss

> Online Registration - this is a form that is completed online where your documents and references will compile. This will create a Certificate of Compliance for us to provide to schools ensuring you are safe to work.

> ...and that’s it! Once you are cleared to work, the world is your oyster!
