European Growth & Commercial Strategy Director - Accountancy
There’s a rare chance here to step into a genuinely influential European role and shape how a growing, private equity-backed Accountancy firm drives organic growth across borders. This is a senior, group-level position offering real autonomy, visibility, and the backing to actually get things done. The role operates on a hybrid basis, with flexibility around location, including London.
The opportunity As European Growth & Commercial Strategy Director, you’ll sit at the centre of a pan-European platform made up of established firms with strong local identities and increasingly international client bases. Your remit is to design and embed a coherent growth strategy across multiple countries, while respecting what already works locally.
This is not a theoretical strategy role. It’s about turning collaboration into revenue, improving commercial capability, and helping senior stakeholders work better together. You’ll play a key role in shaping how this professional services group presents itself to the European mid-market, with London acting as one of the main coordination points.
What you’ll be doing *Designing and rolling out an organic growth strategy across countries and service lines
*Acting as the central link between country-level business development leaders
*Enabling cross-border opportunities through joined-up propositions and coordinated go-to-market activity
*Improving commercial capability across the group, including tools, data, and methodologies
*Supporting and developing senior business development leadership talent
*Bringing clarity to pipeline, performance, and progress through consistent reporting
*Building a collaborative, delivery-focused commercial culture across the group
What we’re looking for *Senior experience leading growth or commercial strategy within professional services, consulting, or advisory environments
*A strong track record in international, multi-entity organisations with complex stakeholders
*Experience in private equity-backed or fast-growth settings
*A pragmatic style that balances strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
*Credibility with senior partners and leadership teams across different countries
*Excellent communication skills and comfort operating internationally
*Fluent English is essential; additional European languages are useful
