Project Coordinator (12-Month FTC – Maternity Cover)
Location: Maidstone, Kent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Salary: £32,000 – £38,000
Job Type: Full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract
The Opportunity
We are working on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation within the fire protection/construction sector, who are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that plays a key part in the successful coordination of projects and site teams. The business operates a fully in-house model, allowing for high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer service.
This role would suit someone highly organised, methodical, and confident working across multiple stakeholders.

The Role
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for organising engineers’ diaries and overseeing the day-to-day coordination of projects. You will liaise closely with customers, site teams, internal departments, and suppliers to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently from scheduling through to completion.
Key responsibilities include:
*Liaising with customers to confirm availability for site attendance
*Managing and coordinating site team diaries and project bookings
*Attaching and maintaining all relevant documentation against bookings
*Ensuring site teams submit correct and compliant paperwork
*Providing regular project updates and excellent customer service
*Liaising with finance teams to confirm invoices are settled prior to bookings
*Acting as the first point of contact for site teams with job-related queries
*Gathering customer feedback and escalating to management where required
*Monitoring site team trackers to ensure punctual attendance
*Understanding construction programmes and application submissions
*Completing general administrative duties and using Microsoft Office packages
About You
To be considered, you will ideally have:
*2–3 years’ experience in a customer-facing or customer service role
*Previous experience coordinating projects and on-site teams
*Strong diary management experience
*Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office
*Experience using a CRM system or similar software
*Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
Key Skills & Behaviours:
*Strong organisational and multitasking skills
*Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
*Experience within construction or a related industry (desirable)
*Strong written and verbal communication
*Proactive work ethic with a willingness to go the extra mile
