Job Description:
Primary School Caretaker / Site manager
We are seeking a reliable, practical and friendly Caretaker to join our happy and welcoming primary school team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean and well-presented environment for our pupils, staff and visitors. this is a temporary role from 23rd Feb to 27th March 2026. Hours can be negotiated.
Key responsibilities include:
* Day-to-day site maintenance and minor repairs
* Opening and closing the school premises
* Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed
* Managing cleaning, waste and basic grounds maintenance
* Liaising with contractors and reporting issues as needed
We are looking for someone who:
* Is practical, proactive and dependable
* Takes pride in maintaining buildings and outdoor spaces
* Can work independently and manage their time effectively
* Has a positive attitude and enjoys working in a school environment
Previous caretaking or maintenance experience is desirable, but not essential, as training will be provided.
