Job Description:
Learning Mentor - ARP (Primary School)
Location: Camden
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Mentor to join a welcoming primary school in Camden, working within an Additional Resource Provision (ARP) supporting pupils with additional needs.
This is a full-time, long-term role starting as soon as possible and is ideal for someone passionate about inclusion, wellbeing, and supporting children to reach their full potential.
The Role:
*Provide tailored academic, emotional, and behavioural support to pupils within the ARP
*Work closely with class teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
*Support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
*Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
*Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and engagement with learning
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*Experience working with children with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs)
*A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*A genuine commitment to supporting children’s wellbeing and development
*Previous experience in a school or similar setting (desirable but not essential)
