An exciting law firm in South West London is now looking for a client accountant to join their team! You’ll work closely with the firm’s Partners on business accounts and invoicing in line with the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR), ensuring that account ledgers are properly maintained and compliant. This is the ideal position for an experienced Accounts Professional with an accounts background from a Lexcel accredited firm, and a broad range of knowledge around legal accounts, including VAT returns, SAR, and day-to-day accounts.

As the new Client Accountant, you will:
*Ensure the office, client and other accounts ledgers are maintained in compliance with Solicitor Accounts Rules.
*Implement accounts and invoicing procedures, perform bank reconciliation and produce month-end and management accounts reports, including cashflow analysis.
*Manage VAT returns, credit control, and the company’s outsourced payroll function.
*Coordinate with auditors ahead of year end accounts.
*Assist with any other administrative duties as required.
To be the new Client Accountant, you should have:
*Prior experience working within a Lexcel-accredited firm
*A strong understanding of anti-money laundering regulations, Solicitors Accounts Rules, VAT and other regulatory obligations.
*Broad experience of dealing with accounts within a law firm.
*Excellent computer literacy, including case management systems.
In return, you will be offered a salary of up to £55,000 p.a. and working on a permanent basis. This is an in-office position, and you will be working from 09:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.
