Occupational Hygienist / Indoor Air Quality Consultant

An employee-owned environmental consultancy is looking for an early-career Occupational Hygienist / Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Consultant to join its growing technical team in Oxfordshire.

About the Company The business delivers specialist occupational hygiene and environmental monitoring services across the UK, including:
* Workplace exposure monitoring

* Indoor air quality (IAQ) assessments

* Technical consultancy support

The Role This is a practical, hands-on position, with strong support from senior colleagues as you develop your technical and client-facing skills. You’ll be involved in:
* Delivering occupational exposure assessments (dusts, fibres, VOCs, gases and other airborne contaminants)

* Analysing results and producing clear, accurate technical reports

* Supporting related surveys such as noise monitoring and LEV assessments (training provided)

* Responding to client enquiries, assisting with quotations, and supporting business development activities

The role is primarily office-based, with regular UK site visits. Hybrid working is available once initial training is complete.
What We’re Looking ForEssential * Minimum 1 year’s experience in occupational/industrial hygiene, including airborne contaminant and noise monitoring

* Strong communication skills and proven technical report writing ability

* Confident using MS Word and Excel

* Comfortable handling and interpreting large datasets

* Working knowledge of COSHH, EH40 and MDHS guidance

* Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK

Desirable * BOHS membership

* Degree in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science, or similar

* Knowledge of IAQ standards/frameworks (e.g. BREEAM)

* Experience with LEV testing and/or supporting quotes and commercial enquiries

* Confident working independently in a client-facing role

* Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays
