Project/Programme Manager – 6-12 MFTC
Farnborough, Hybrid and Travel to the USA required
Up to £100K per annum


Due to continued growth my client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis. You will lead the coordinated delivery of the US facility setup from initiation through completion, serving as the central point of connection between internal teams and external partners.
This role is responsible for unifying the organisation around a single delivery plan, converting strategic objectives into an actionable roadmap, maintaining delivery momentum, and ensuring stakeholders meet agreed timelines, dependencies, and outcomes. You will:


*Create and manage the full lifecycle project plan for the US facility implementation
*Align schedules across facility build, cleanroom construction, equipment installation, quality systems, regulatory readiness, IT, supply chain, recruitment, training, and customer transfer
*Maintain visibility of the critical path, identifying constraints and pressure points
*Operate as the primary coordination hub across departments and external stakeholders
*Ensure teams are aligned to a shared plan with clearly defined responsibilities and deadlines
*Governance, Cadence & Accountability
*Set up and facilitate weekly programme and workstream review meetings
*Track actions, owners, and delivery dates
*Address delays, challenge slippage, and escalate risks in a timely manner
*Own and maintain an active RAID log
*Anticipate and mitigate schedule, regulatory, and resourcing risks
*Coordinate activities across contractors, cleanroom providers, equipment suppliers, and consultants
*Ensure third-party delivery timelines are aligned with internal readiness plans
*Produce executive-level dashboards, reports, and briefing materials
*Support scenario modelling and impact assessments to inform decision-making
The ideal candidate will:
*Have a minimum 10+ years’ experience in complex programme or project management roles
*Have proven delivery of greenfield facilities or large-scale expansions within the US
*Have experience within medical devices, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated manufacturing environments
*Have a strong background in US-based vendor and supplier management
*Have solid working knowledge of GMP and ISO 13485 standards
*Be Prince 2 qualified
*Have good working knowledge on Project Management tracking tools, Jira or similar.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm.
