Semi-Senior Accountant
A well-established accountancy firm are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Semi-Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone looking to develop their accounting career while gaining experience across multiple areas of finance.
What You’ll Do
*This position is primarily focused on accounts preparation across a range of industries and business types. The work is technical, structured, and varied.
*There is no audit work and very little bookkeeping, allowing the candidate to concentrate on developing strong core accountancy skills right through to client engagement.
*Maintain day-to-day accounting records
*Prepare accruals, prepayments, deferred income, and assist with month-end/year-end close
*Help with VAT returns and compliance tasks
*Work closely with other teams to resolve accounting queries and support decision-making
About You
*Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent
*Experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally with exposure to practice
*Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
*Confident with Excel and accounting systems
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Able to work independently and manage priorities effectively
*Proactive problem-solver with a collaborative approach
