The Opportunity


An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Audit Partner to join the firm’s Hertford office and play a key role in driving the next phase of growth.


This is a strategic, market-facing leadership position for an entrepreneurial and commercially focused audit professional with the vision to expand a successful, nationally recognised audit practice.


You will lead the development of the audit function, build market presence across key sectors-including manufacturing, wholesale, charities, and financial services-and strengthen relationships with owner-managed and mid-market businesses.


Key Responsibilities


• Lead, develop, and grow the Audit function nationally, shaping its strategic direction and future expansion.
• Build strong client, prospect, and intermediary relationships to drive sustainable business growth.
• Oversee delivery of high-quality audit services while maintaining a select client portfolio.
• Collaborate with Partners to influence firm-wide strategy, leadership, and culture.
• Mentor and inspire high-performing teams, ensuring technical excellence and professional progression.


Requirements


• ACA/ACCA qualified, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Audit & Assurance, including at least 5 years at Partner or equivalent level.
• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
• Strong commercial insight, strategic mindset, and entrepreneurial drive.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
