Job Title: Procurement Specialist - Operations
Contract: 12-months
Location: Coventry (hybrid/ 2 days per week onsite)
Day rate: £250 inside ir35
The Role
*Responsible for sourcing and procuring goods and services critical to operational success
*Support both Indirect and Direct procurement activities across a complex manufacturing environment
*Operate as a Specialist-level professional (P3), applying advanced procurement knowledge and experience
Key Procurement Categories
*Indirect Operations, including: *Office supplies, IT equipment, travel, facilities and maintenance
*Machine parts and operational services

*Direct Operations, including: *Raw materials and services supporting manufacturing and production
*Products and components for operational and retail use

Core Responsibilities
*Deliver end-to-end procurement activities, including: *Product and service sourcing
*Supplier selection and onboarding
*Pricing and commercial terms negotiation
*Order processing and contract administration
*Supplier performance and relationship management

*Manage projects and procurement processes independently with limited supervision
*Apply strategic sourcing principles where appropriate
*Coach, review and support the development of junior procurement professionals
*Resolve complex procurement challenges through sound judgement and commercial insight
Skills & Experience
*Strong commercial awareness with proven negotiation capability
*Experience operating in a fast-paced, operational or manufacturing environment
*Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex stakeholder relationships
*Confident communicator with strong problem-solving skills
*Adaptable, proactive and results-focused approach
