SEND Teaching Assistant – SEND School
Location: Norwich

Pay Rate: £13.69 – £16.63 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a special educational needs (SEND) school in Norwich. This role is suitable for candidates looking for full-time or part-time work, providing flexibility to fit your schedule.
The successful candidate will support pupils with SEND, helping them access learning, develop socially and emotionally, and achieve their full potential.
The Role:
*Support pupils with SEND on a 1:1 or small-group basis
*Assist teachers with delivering adapted lessons and learning activities
*Promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and engagement
*Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
*Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
*Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
*Follow all safeguarding, health, and safety procedures
Requirements:
*Experience working with children with SEND (essential)
*Experience within SEND schools or alternative provision settings (preferred)
*Relevant childcare or teaching assistant qualifications (desirable)
*Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Right to work in the UK
*Enhanced DBS certificate (Update Service or willingness to apply)
*Full and up-to-date CV
*Ability to provide two professional references
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
