Recruitment Assistant
Salary: £27,500 – £30,000
Location: Ipswich (travel to multiple sites will be required)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Overview
This key operational role is responsible for delivering safe, compliant recruitment and maintaining regulatory standards. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, ensure Schedule 2 compliance, and support safeguarding, quality assurance, and inspection readiness.
Working closely with Registered and Deputy Managers, you will operate with a high level of autonomy, escalating risks or concerns to the Operations Manager as required. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential due to regular site visits.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage end-to-end safer recruitment, from advertising to onboarding
*Complete and verify all pre-employment checks (DBS, references, right to work, employment history, qualifications)
*Maintain accurate, audit-ready recruitment and personnel files
*Monitor recruitment pipelines and provide progress updates
*Support regulatory inspections and ongoing compliance
*Coordinate inductions and mandatory training
*Provide administrative and operational support to management teams
*Champion safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection standards
Essential Requirements
*Experience in recruitment or HR within a regulated environment
*Ideally strong knowledge of safer recruitment
*Experience supporting inspections
*Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills
*Confident working independently across multiple priorities
*Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
*Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check
