Location: Leicester
Shift: 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am to 12pm Friday
Pay: £13.00 - £13.50 per hour

About the Role
Our client is seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to support its manufacturing and logistics operations. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong work ethic, a flexible approach, and experience working in a yard or industrial environment.
You will be responsible for yard operations, goods handling, and nationwide deliveries, ensuring materials and finished products are moved safely, efficiently, and on time.
The Role
*Driving a company van to undertake nationwide deliveries as required
*Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to load and unload goods and machinery (FLT licence essential)
*Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
*Managing goods in and goods out, including checking deliveries and paperwork
*Moving materials and products around the yard and workshop areas
*Supporting production teams with loading requirements
*Carrying out general yard duties, including keeping work areas clean, tidy, and safe
*Managing and sorting recycling and waste materials in line with company procedures
*Following all health and safety regulations and safe systems of work
About You
*Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential)
*Full UK driving licence with experience driving vans
*Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred
*Good awareness of health and safety
*Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
*Physically fit and capable of manual handling
*Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach
*Able to work independently and as part of a team
