Automatic Door Engineer – Field BasedLocation: West of the M25 preferred
Coverage area: London to Portsmouth (Network Rail sites and commercial locations)
We are looking to recruit an experienced Automatic Door Engineer to join our growing field-based engineering team. This role will cover a portfolio of Network Rail and commercial sites across London and the South, extending down to Portsmouth.
Due to continued growth and upcoming team changes, this is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for stability, varied work, and overtime potential.
The Role*Field-based role carrying out fault finding, servicing, remedial repairs and installations of automatic doors
*Working on a range of entrance systems including:
*Automatic doors
*Roller shutters
*Automatic gates
*Access control systems
*CCTV systems
*Attending planned maintenance visits and reactive call-outs
*Completing works to current industry standards and safety regulations
*Liaising professionally with clients and site contacts, including rail environments
*Participating in the on-call rota and occasional night shifts (paid, with opportunities to boost earnings)
Essential Requirements*Proven experience as an Automatic Door Engineer (service, repair and/or installation)
*Competent in fault finding and remedial repairs on automatic door systems
*Relevant industry qualifications and up-to-date knowledge of current and upcoming industry standard changes
*Full UK driving licence (essential)
*Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
*Willingness and ability to successfully pass Thames Valley Police vetting as part of the role
*Comfortable working across rail and high-security environments
Desirable (but not essential)*Experience working on Network Rail sites
*Knowledge of shutters, gates, access control and CCTV
*EN16005 / ADSA / DHF certifications
*Experience with call-out and night work in live environments
