Job Description:
Market 36 Recruitment are currently looking for a Goods Inwards & Parts Person on behalf of our client based in Dartford, Kent on a permanent basis.
Our client is seeking a reliable and practical individual to join the team as a Goods Inwards & Parts Person in their Dartford Branch, Kent.
Reporting to the Parts & Showroom Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the goods inward area and all parts/showroom related deliveries. You will also be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day retail sales within the showroom which will include Parts, Hardware, Clothing and Groundcare machinery sales. You will ensure delivery of excellent customer service at all times by dealing with all queries relating to the products and services supplied by the Company either face to face or over the telephone.
Experience, Responsibilities & Qualifications:
*A knowledge or interest in general machinery would be beneficial but not essential
*Enjoy working in a busy atmosphere and can cope under pressure during busy periods
*Good communication skills: face to face, letter, email and telephone
*Familiarity of working in a retail environment and showroom experience (desirable)
*General computer skills and familiarity with email and internet use
*Supporting internal workshop technicians with parts identification
*Good numeracy and literacy skills
*Smart & presentable appearance
*Attention to detail and accuracy with numbers, handling of cash, cheque and card payments
*A team player capable of working alone or with other team members
*Goods receiving and distribution of orders
*Transfer of stock into the stores and showroom
*Unpacking branch ’bins’ and processing supplier parcels
*Loading and unloading of internal lorry
*Management of customer delivery and collection shelves
*Stock checking when required
*Management of showroom stock
*Provide efficient, effective and friendly customer service
*Full driving licence
*Maintain a good general level of health and fitness
Hours: 39 hours per week – 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch) Saturdays as per rota. (Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39 hours Monday to Friday)
Salary: Competitive (DOE)
