We are currently recruiting for a brand-new Paralegal position, to work in the London office of a leading US law firm.
This is a new, permanent role, within their Restructuring department, to work as part of their highly collaborative team, whereby the successful applicant will be responsible for tracking the restructuring and distressed debt markets and providing support across all restructuring aspects.
This fantastic opportunity will see you working in a top-tier practice area, partaking in a range of activities including legal research, drafting documents, and liaising with clients. Paralegals at this firm are offered a range of high-quality work and exposure that is second to none.
Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
*Managing and maintaining the Opportunities Deck.
*Providing knowledge management support to the wider team.
*Working alongside attorneys to assist with inception through to conclusion.
*Staying up to date with market developments to ensure new opportunities are identified.
*Managing cases, documents, and document management systems.
*Engaging in factual and legal research.
*Analysing and proofreading documents and materials.
*Tracking and analysing market cases, recording deal terms, and building case studies.
*Compiling business development materials.
*Assisting with the know-how system.
*Developing best practices within the office.
As such, the firm is looking for a driven Paralegal, with a strong academic background. Suitable applicants will have gained some prior experience in a Restructuring role (or similar) within a law firm or in-house legal department. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, as well as excellent attention to detail, analytical, and organisation skills.
