Post 16 SEND Teacher - Full Time (Permanent Opportunity)
Location: Sheffield S20 (close to Crystal Peaks)
Start Date: ASAP
We are currently seeking a qualified Teacher (QTS or QTLS) to join a specialist Post 16 setting in the Sheffield S20 area. This is a full-time role with the opportunity to apply on a permanent basis from the outset.
This setting supports learners aged 16-18 with a range of additional needs. While chronologically older, many of the students are developmentally and emotionally younger, so a calm, patient and flexible approach is essential.
The Role: * Teaching a Post 16 SEND class in a specialist environment

* Delivering engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual needs

* Supporting learners both in the classroom and out in the community, helping them develop life skills, independence and confidence

* Working closely with a strong team of experienced Teaching Assistants, with high levels of in-class support

* Creating a safe, nurturing and structured learning environment

The Ideal Candidate: * Holds QTS or QTLS (essential)

* Has experience working with SEND learners (highly desirable)

* Confident supporting young people with complex needs and delayed maturity

* Comfortable delivering learning in non-traditional settings, including community-based activities

* Passionate about preparing young people for adulthood and life beyond education
