Conveyancing Team Leader
Location: Manchester (Hybrid Working)

We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Team Leader to lead and develop a high-performing residential conveyancing team of up to 15 fee earners and support staff. This is a management-focused role with no personal caseload, allowing you to concentrate on people leadership, performance, and service delivery.
While you will not carry your own files, previous conveyancing fee-earning experience is essential, as you will be required to provide technical guidance, support complex matters, and act as an escalation point for the team.


Key Responsibilities
*Lead, manage, and motivate a conveyancing team of up to 15, ensuring high levels of productivity, quality, and client care
*Provide day-to-day supervision, mentoring, coaching, and performance management
*Act as a technical expert and escalation point for complex conveyancing files and legal issues
*Monitor workloads, capacity, and KPIs to ensure efficient file progression and service standards
*Support compliance with regulatory requirements, firm procedures, and risk management protocols
*Conduct regular one-to-ones, appraisals, and development reviews
*Assist with onboarding, training, and development of new and existing team members
*Work closely with senior management to drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and team engagement
*Maintain and promote the firm’s reputation for excellence and client service


Requirements
*Proven previous experience as a conveyancing fee earner
*Demonstrable experience leading, supervising, or mentoring conveyancing teams
*Strong technical knowledge with the ability to advise on complex conveyancing matters
*Excellent people management, communication, and leadership skills
*Commercially aware with the ability to manage performance and service delivery
*Highly organised, resilient, and confident making decisions
*Experience working within a high-volume or fast-paced conveyancing environment is desirable
