Job Description:
Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established manufacturing business in Lancashire to recruit an Production Manager to take ownership of day-to-day operations within a fast-paced, high volume production area.
This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for driving safe, efficient and high-quality output while developing high-performing teams and embedding a strong continuous improvement culture.
Reporting into senior operations leadership, you will have full accountability for performance across your manufacturing area, ensuring delivery against safety, quality, cost and service targets.
Key responsibilities include:
*Leading and promoting a strong safety-first culture, ensuring full compliance with H&S standards, PPE requirements and 6S
*Managing, coaching and developing Group Leaders and operators to build capability, engagement and accountability
*Delivering production plans in line with agreed output, efficiency and service targets
*Driving Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve flow, reduce waste and increase performance
*Ensuring right-first-time manufacturing through standard work, visual management and robust quality controls
*Monitoring equipment and process performance, identifying constraints and working cross-functionally to minimise downtime
*Controlling area-level costs, reducing scrap, rework and material losses
To be successful in this role, you’ll be a confident and hands-on manufacturing leader with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
Experience you’ll ideally have:
*Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership or supervisory role
*A technical & mechanical understanding of high pace, high volume manufacturing processes
*Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and develop teams
*Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and 6S
*Experience using structured problem-solving tools and root cause analysis
*A strong focus on safety, quality and operational discipline
*The ability to manage competing priorities and perform under pressure
*Clear, effective communication skills with the confidence to engage at all levels
