Role Title: Engagement Manager
Duration: 6 months
Pay Rate: £639 per day
Location: Manchester—3 days onsite
Role Description:
The Engagement Director / Manager is accountable for overall leadership, governance, and successful delivery of the project. Acting as Client’s senior accountable owner, the role ensures alignment between program leadership, CIO application teams, and Business Unit CISO organisations, while protecting programme credibility and driving measurable cyber-risk reduction outcomes.
Key Accountabilities
• Senior client relationship ownership and executive-level stakeholder management across CIO, CISO and program leadership communities.
• End-to-end accountability for delivery governance, prioritisation, and adherence to program scope, quality standards, and timelines.
• Oversight of all Client-provided services including communications management, reporting and metrics, documentation, and artefact governance.
• Proactive management of delivery risks, issues, and escalations, ensuring timely resolution and transparent decision-making.
• Leadership of Client delivery team, ensuring consistent ways of working and high professional standards.
• Contribution to senior governance forums, executive reporting cycles, and client steering meetings.
Skills & Experience
• Extensive experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder technology or cyber programmes / Programme office functions within large enterprises.
• Proven capability operating at CIO, CISO and executive committee level.
• Strong commercial, contractual, and governance management expertise.
• Deep understanding of regulated financial services or similarly controlled environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a high standard of written and spoken English.
Recommended Certifications
• PRINCE2 Practitioner or PMP
• ITIL 4 Managing Professional (desirable)
