A well-established and highly respected independent financial planning firm is looking to expand its advice team in Taunton. The business operates across multiple locations in the South West and is known for delivering high-quality, whole-of-market advice to both private and corporate clients.
The firm takes a genuinely independent approach with no ties to product providers. Advice is based entirely on clients’ best interests, focusing on understanding long-term goals, lifestyle needs and financial aspirations.

The OpportunityAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Independent Financial Adviser to join the advice team. You will work with a varied portfolio of private clients, families, business owners and corporate connections, delivering bespoke financial planning solutions.
You’ll benefit from a supportive environment with strong technical, paraplanning and administrative resources, allowing you to focus on client relationships and high-quality advice.
Key Responsibilities*Deliver whole-of-market financial advice tailored to individual client needs
*Conduct detailed fact-finds to understand client objectives and financial positions
*Build long-term relationships through regular reviews and strong service delivery
*Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans across pensions, investments and protection
*Advise business owners and directors on relevant corporate planning and protection needs
*Ensure all advice meets compliance and FCA standards
*Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the advice process
About YouYou will be a strong match for this role if you have:
*Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS or equivalent)
*Experience delivering independent financial advice
*Strong technical understanding of pensions, investments, protection and tax-efficient planning
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*A client-first mindset with a high level of professionalism
*The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
*Strong organisational and time-management skills
