Job Description:
NEC4 Site Supervisor
*Location: Oldham
*Hourly rate: £50 per hour Umbrella
*Length of role: Initial 12 months
Oldham Council is seeking a professional NEC4 Site Supervisor to provide expert site supervision services for highways and infrastructure schemes. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of the Council’s capital programme, adhering to NEC3/NEC4 contracts, governance requirements, and Council policies. The successful candidate will lead on-site supervision, contract administration support, programme monitoring, stakeholder coordination, and customer-focused delivery.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
*Lead on the application, management, and delivery of NEC3/NEC4 site supervision, ensuring full compliance with contractual requirements.
*Manage site supervision activities throughout the full lifecycle of each funding stream and scheme, including record keeping and programme management.
*Supervise, manage, and coordinate the input and output of external contributors such as consultants, contractors, and specialist advisors.
*Coordinate and supervise third parties and key stakeholders involved in the development and delivery of schemes.
*Contribute to the preparation, review, and ongoing monitoring of construction programmes.
*Support consultation activities, including attending public meetings to represent the Highways & Engineering Group positively within the community.
*Promote a customer-focused service in relation to complaints, enquiries, and service requests, adhering to corporate policies and performance standards.
*Maintain effective liaison with other services within the Directorate, other Council departments, and external bodies to ensure efficient delivery of services.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Extensive knowledge and practical application of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts in a site supervision context.
*Strong understanding of highways construction, maintenance, and improvement schemes.
*Proven experience of NEC3/NEC4 site supervision on highways or civil engineering projects.
*Ability to manage multiple schemes simultaneously with strong project and programme management skills.
*Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with various stakeholders.
*Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
*Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail and record-keeping.
