An established architectural practice are looking for an experienced Architectural Technologist to join its Birmingham team. The role will suit a technically strong individual with experience delivering complex, high density residential and city living projects, including PBSA and tall buildings.
You will be involved in the technical development and delivery of projects, working closely with architects, consultants and external stakeholders.
This position offers the opportunity to take a key role on technically challenging schemes, with a strong focus on BIM led delivery and coordinated design.
Role & responsibilities:
*Leading the production and coordination of detailed technical information across multiple project stages
*Delivering construction drawing packages and technical details
*Coordinating architectural information with consultant teams and specialist subcontractors
*Ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations and relevant statutory requirements
*Supporting projects through technical design, tender and construction stages
*Responding to technical queries from consultants, contractors and site teams
*Supporting BIM standards and maintaining high-quality project documentation
Requirements:
*Significant experience in a UK architectural practice in a technical delivery role
*Strong portfolio of city living projects, including PBSA, high-rise or mixed-use residential schemes is preferred
*Excellent understanding of construction detailing and buildability for complex projects
*Confident coordinating consultant information and resolving technical issues
*Chartered Architectural Technologist (CIAT) or working towards preferred
*Advanced proficiency in Revit (essential)
*Strong technical drawing and BIM coordination skills
*Familiarity with document management systems and collaborative BIM workflows
