Legal Secretary / Administrator – Residential Conveyancing (Immediate Start Available!)
Location: Glasgow City Centre (Hybrid options available)
Salary: From £27,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
Are you an experienced Legal Secretary or Legal Administrator with a strong background in residential conveyancing within the Scottish legal system? This is an excellent opportunity to join a welcoming, well-established Glasgow firm as part of a supportive team of solicitors, paralegals, and legal secretaries handling a high volume of property transactions.
We are recruiting on behalf of a respected city-centre practice that offers an excellent working environment and long-term stability. This is an immediate-start position for the right candidate.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will play a key role in the smooth running of the conveyancing department by providing essential administrative and secretarial support, including:
*Preparing and managing documents within the residential conveyancing process
*Ordering property and legal reports
*Managing and processing incoming and outgoing mail
*Responding to client and third-party enquiries
*Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
*Setting up new files and progressing matters using the firm’s case management system
*Liaising directly with clients, lenders and other solicitors
*Supporting solicitors and paralegals with daily administrative tasks
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will need:
*Experience working in residential conveyancing in Scotland (minimum 1 year – essential)
*Strong understanding of the Scottish conveyancing process
*Excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
*Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office
*Great organisational skills and attention to detail
*Confidence handling a busy workload in a fast-paced team
Please note:
This role is not suitable for LLB graduates seeking a traineeship.

*Ideally full-time, office-based, but part-time and hybrid working will be considered for the right candidate
