Deputy Nursery Manager – Ilford
Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 per annum
Full-time | 30–37.5 hours per week | Permanent

Great Starts Recruitment are working on behalf of a private day nursery in Ilford to recruit an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager.

This role is ideal for an experienced Nursery Deputy Manager or Third in Charge looking for their next step up. You will be working closely with the Nursery Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a busy early years setting.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the Nursery Manager with the daily management of the nursery
* Supervise, lead and motivate the early years staff team
* Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean and well-organised
* Promote safeguarding and ensure children’s safety at all times
* Support planning and delivery of activities in line with the EYFS
* Coordinate curriculum delivery and assist in developing new activities
* Act as a key liaison between the nursery and parents/carers
* Support compliance with Ofsted, safeguarding and statutory requirements
* Assist with rotas, staffing and operational duties Person Specification
* Proven experience in nursery management (essential)
* Strong background in childcare and early years development
* Confident leadership and people-management skills
* Organised, proactive and commercially aware
* Passionate about delivering high-quality early years education
* Ability to work collaboratively within a management team Essential Requirements
* At least 1 year experience in a management or supervisory role (required)
* Level 3 Early Years qualification or above Benefits
