The RoleWe are recruiting an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical bias to join a busy manufacturing site in Coventry.
This role is ideal for engineers with Hydromat rotary machine experience and strong hydraulic knowledge, looking for a long-term, stable position with excellent benefits.
Key Responsibilities*Maintain and improve machine uptime
*Fault-find on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
*Strip, refurbish and repair spindles, valve heads and tables
*Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
*Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes
*Respond to breakdowns and support production handovers
*Support engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives
*Work to lean manufacturing and 5S standards
*Coordinate work with engineers and external contractors
*Ensure all work complies with EHS requirements
*Provide technical input into FMEA and problem-solving activities
Skills & ExperienceEssential:
*Time-served engineering apprenticeship
*Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
*Strong mechanical engineering background
*Hydraulic knowledge (essential)
*Experience working on Hydromat rotary machines
*PLC interrogation and fault-finding experience
*Knowledge of CNC / PLC-controlled machinery
*Ability to read schematic and technical drawings
*Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
*Competent with Microsoft Word and Excel
*Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
*HNC or equivalent engineering qualification
*Experience with lean manufacturing techniques
*Frontline maintenance system experience
Shift PatternMonday – Thursday
*6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm / 10pm–6am
*(30-minute paid lunch)
Friday
*6am–12pm / 12pm–6pm / 6pm–12am
*(10-minute paid break)
Pay & Benefits*£20.27 per hour
