We are working with a well-established manufacturer in Manchester seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support a modern production facility. The business is known for developing engineers internally and offering clear long-term career pathways.
The Role Working within a manufacturing environment, you’ll support both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Mechanical Maintenance, helping to ensure equipment and machinery operate safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
* Carrying out mechanical PPMs on production and manufacturing equipment

* Assisting with mechanical breakdowns and fault-finding

* Working on components such as bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pumps, and conveyors

* Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects

* Working closely with senior engineers to develop technical capability

This is a Sunday to Thursday, 7am–3pm shift, offering consistent hours and work–life balance.
What We’re Looking For * Mechanical Engineer or Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical bias)

* Some experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial environments (training provided)
