Tutor – Liverpool City Region
Salary: £28,000
Location: Liverpool City Region (with occasional travel)
Contract: Full-time


Reed Further Education is looking for a passionate, motivating Tutor to deliver engaging, 3-week classroom-based courses across a variety of subjects including Construction Skills, Customer Service, Hospitality, and more.

What You’ll Be Doing
*Deliver accredited, classroom-based qualifications (Entry Level 3 – Level 2) to adult learners (19+), typically in groups of 12–15.
*Carry out thorough initial and ongoing assessments to ensure learners are enrolled onto the right programme and receive appropriate support.
*Deliver high-quality learning that enables learners to successfully complete assignments or exams, maintaining strong achievement rates.
*Mark paper-based assessments such as portfolios and exams.
*Provide clear, constructive written and verbal feedback to support learner progress.
*Set SMART targets to help learners stay on track and achieve their goals.
*Ensure all documentation and administrative duties are completed accurately and in line with internal procedures.
About You
You’ll be someone who is:
*Motivating, inspiring, and learner-focused.
*Supportive, adaptable, and able to build rapport quickly.
*Excellent at communicating with learners from diverse backgrounds.
*Organised, able to manage your workload effectively, and confident using Microsoft Office and basic IT systems.
Skills & Experience Needed
Essential:
*Industry experience or previous teaching/tutoring experience in at least one of the following areas:
*Construction, Customer Service, Retail, Hospitality, SIA, Care
*A teaching qualification (minimum PTLLS Level 3 or equivalent).
*English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE or Functional Skills).
*Experience supporting adult learners within an education or training environment.
*An understanding of the barriers adults may face when entering employment.
Desirable:
*IAG Level 2 qualification (or willingness to complete).
*Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle for travel.






All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
