Salary: £60,000–£65,000 DOE + OTE
Location: Newbury, UK (Office-based / Hybrid with travel)

A market-leading, high-growth manufacturer specialising in advanced metal Additive Manufacturing is scaling its commercial function. The business supplies high-performance, production-grade metal components to leading Aerospace, Space, Energy, Defence, and Industrial organisations.
As one of the few companies globally with proven production capability in PBF-LB (Powder Bed Fusion – Laser Beam), the organisation is on a mission to deliver next-generation, sustainable, net-zero manufacturing — and is now seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across key markets.
The Role
You will play a pivotal role in identifying, engaging, and converting new business opportunities, working alongside a high-performing commercial team. Your work will drive early-stage pipeline growth, elevate outbound activity, and sharpen commercial processes.
This is a role for someone who wants ownership, impact, and the satisfaction of winning in complex, technical markets.
Key Responsibilities
Grow the Customer Base
*Proactively target new customers across Industrial, Semicon, Energy, Defence, and Space.
*Focus on large corporates, Tier 1 suppliers, and technically demanding organisations.
Own the Early Sales Cycle
*Manage relationships from first contact through qualification.
*Deliver high-quality, qualified opportunities to the Account Management team.
CRM & Pipeline Ownership
*Build and maintain a clean, accurate HubSpot pipeline with daily updates.
*Produce automated reports and track performance against KPIs.
Strategic Targeting & Market Intelligence
*Refine the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) with real-world insight.
*Identify sector "hot buttons" and feed intelligence into commercial strategy.
Campaign & Event Execution
*Support targeted LinkedIn/Email campaigns to drive outbound demand.
*Shape the events calendar and maximise ROI from trade shows and conferences.
Process Improvement
*Map and improve BD processes for scalability, efficiency, and speed.
Stakeholder Engagement
*Work with commercial and technical stakeholders to fully understand requirements.
*Position the organisation’s end-to-end manufacturing capability and sustainability advantage — moving discussions beyond price.

Experience Required
*3+ years in technical sales, engineering, or additive manufacturing.
*Experience engaging large corporates, Tier 1 suppliers, or Design Authorities.
*Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust quickly.
*CRM experience (HubSpot preferred).
*Full UK driving licence and ability to travel within the UK & Europe.
