Senior Nursery Practitioner – Term Time Only
Borstal, Rochester (Medway)
Permanent Position | Monday–Friday, 9:00am–2:30pm
Ideal Start Date: 19th February
A warm and welcoming nursery in the heart of Borstal, Rochester is seeking a Senior Nursery Practitioner to join their close-knit team. This permanent, term-time only role offers excellent work–life balance with set daytime hours that fit perfectly around family life.
About the Role
As a Senior Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and fostering a nurturing, supportive environment for children and their families. You’ll act as a key worker, building strong relationships and ensuring children feel safe, confident, and encouraged in their learning.
This role will begin as the Assistant Manager goes on maternity leave, with an ideal start date of 19th February.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a professional who is:
*Level 3 qualified in Early Years (essential)
*Experienced – ideally with 5+ years working in a nursery setting
*Warm, approachable, and professional in all interactions
*A strong communicator who builds trust with children, parents, and colleagues
*Confident, reliable, proactive, and passionate about early years education
*Ideally Paediatric First Aid trained
*Experienced in a senior or leadership capacity, such as a Room Leader or similar role
*Familiar with Tapestry for observations and learning journeys
