About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Technician to join a secondary school in the Liverpool area as soon as possible. Science Technician
Location: Liverpool, L11
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract Type: Temporary, Long Term
Working Hours: Full time, 8:00am - 4.00pm
Salary: Paid to scale
Key Responsibilities:
*Setting up equipment, making up solutions/cultures, ensuring labs are clean
*Clean, maintain and manage resources
*Implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, managing hazardous waste, checking safety equipment (fume cupboards, first aid).
*Assisting teachers with practical’s, demonstrating techniques
Requirements:
*Prior experience working with children
*Science background
*Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training can be provided).
*Right to Work in the UK.
*Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
*Ability to provide two professional references.
