CNC Miller
Based near Wimborne
Contract role expected to last 3-6 months.
Our client is seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join their growing manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role producing high-quality precision components within a well-established engineering environment.
The Role
You’ll manufacture precision parts using milling machines, ensuring all components meet engineering drawings and company quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
*Machine precision components accurately and efficiently
*Set, operate and programme milling machines with Hurco (WinMax) controls
*Inspect first-off parts to ensure quality compliance
*Work independently with minimal supervision
*Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work area
*Follow all company Health & Safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
*Recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship (or equivalent experience)
*Strong background in manual and/or CNC milling
*Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
*Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
*Good inspection and quality-checking skills
Desirable:
*Experience with Hurco / WinMax controls
*Background in a precision engineering environment
*Knowledge of XYZ controls
*Cutter grinding experience
Salary & Benefits
*Up to £16 per hour (depending on experience)
*Overtime paid at 1.5x
*Temporary role expected to last at least 3 months
