Management Accountant (6-Month Contract)
Knowsley | Hybrid (4 days office / 1 day WFH)
£40,000 - £45,000 (pro rata)
An established and well-regarded business based in Knowsley is looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for extension.
This role would suit a Qualified, Part-Qualified, or QBE accountant who is confident owning a P&L and producing full management accounts end to end.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in supporting the business with timely and accurate financial information, working closely with stakeholders across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:

Full ownership of the monthly P&L

Preparation and production of full monthly management accounts
*
Month-end close activities including accruals, prepayments, and journals
*
Variance analysis with clear commentary and insight
*
Budgeting and forecasting support
*
Balance sheet reconciliations
*
Supporting senior management with financial analysis and reporting
*
Improving and streamlining reporting processes where possible
About You *
Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), Part-Qualified, or QBE
*
Proven experience producing full management accounts
*
Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of numbers
*
Strong Excel skills
*
Able to work on-site 4 days per week in Knowsley
