Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager - Human Resources to lead and oversee key initiatives within the Human Resources department for a Local Authority. This temporary role requires expertise in project management and a strong understanding of HR processes to drive success in Essex.

Description
*Deliver key corporate projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards, supporting Council priorities
*Manage projects in line with corporate project management and governance frameworks
*Produce high-quality reports and business papers for senior leaders and committees, meeting statutory deadlines
*Analyse HR metrics and translate data into clear, actionable recommendations
*Present options and solutions to SLT to support decision-making and approval
*Build strong stakeholder relationships to deliver complex projects and drive organisational change
*Lead and matrix-manage project teams to deliver aligned, service-focused outcomes
*Track progress, maintain project documentation, and report to governance forums
*Review and challenge business cases, share learning, and promote best practice
Profile
A successful Senior Project Manager - Human Resources should have:
*Proven experience in managing complex projects within the public sector or local authorities.
*Strong knowledge of Human Resources processes and practices.
*Strong systems experience is required ideally with Oracle and Power BI.
*Excellent organisational and time management skills.
*Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
*Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams effectively.
*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
*Relevant qualifications in project management or a related field.

*Competitive hourly rate of £37.25 GBP.
*Hybrid working - 2 days required in office
