Job Title: Criminology LecturerLocation: Wandsworth College
Working Pattern: Tuesday & Wednesday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

The RoleWandsworth College is seeking a committed and knowledgeable Criminology Lecturer to deliver engaging and high-quality teaching to FE learners. This role is ideal for an experienced lecturer or a qualified teacher with a strong background in criminology or related social sciences.
You will be responsible for delivering planned lessons, supporting learner progress, and ensuring teaching meets awarding body and college quality standards.
Key Responsibilities*Deliver engaging and effective Criminology lessons in line with the curriculum
*Plan, prepare, and assess learning in accordance with awarding body requirements
*Monitor learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
*Maintain accurate registers, learner records, and assessment documentation
*Support learners with exam preparation, assignments, and academic development
*Promote positive behaviour, equality, diversity, and safeguarding
*Work collaboratively with the curriculum team to support learner achievement
Essential Requirements*A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
*Subject knowledge in Criminology or a closely related discipline
*Experience teaching within Further Education or a similar setting
*A fully enhanced DBS
*Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills
*Excellent communication and organisational abilities
Desirable*Experience teaching Criminology at Level 3
*Familiarity with FE awarding bodies and assessment requirements
