Adele Carr Recruitment - Accounts Receivable Clerk
Location: Hybrid - 1 day per week office-based 4 home working.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. This role plays a key part in safeguarding cash flow, managing customer credit risk, and supporting strong commercial relationships across the business.
Key Responsibilities
*Ensure compliance with internal guidelines while supporting the onboarding of new customers and business partners, including assessing financial stability and customer eligibility
*Monitor and manage customer credit limits
*Ensuring all new or revised limits are appropriately reviewed and approved to minimise non-payment risk
*Lead proactive credit control and collection activities, from payment reminders through to escalation via external debt recovery or legal action
*Accurately process and allocate customer payments within the ERP system
*Ensuring debtor balances are correctly aged and reported
*Process new Direct Debit mandates and monitor existing mandates
*Recording and resolving unsuccessful payments
*Take ownership of the department’s generic queries inbox, ensuring timely and professional responses
*Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and internal control requirements
*Participate in system testing related to system updates and enhancements
*Build strong working relationships with global colleagues and actively share best practices across teams
Skills & Experience
*Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable or Credit Control role
*Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
*Confident communicator able to work collaboratively across departments and regions
*Experience working with ERP systems
