A well-established logistics business is seeking a customer-focused Commercial Operator to join its road freight operation. This role suits someone with strong attention to detail who enjoys managing shipments end-to-end while maintaining excellent customer relationships.
The successful individual will take ownership of a portfolio of existing customers and play a key role in delivering reliable, cost-effective road freight solutions while protecting commercial performance.

Freight Key ResponsibilitiesThe Commercial Operator will be responsible for:
*Acting as the primary point of contact for a dedicated portfolio of customers
*Managing the full shipment lifecycle, from booking through to final invoicing
*Coordinating with internal teams and external transport suppliers to ensure timely collections and deliveries
*Providing proactive operational updates and clear communication to customers
*Monitoring supplier costs against agreed customer rates to protect gross profit
*Completing, checking, and distributing all required transport and customs documentation
*Accurately entering orders and shipment data into the Transport Management System (TMS)

Freight Candidate RequirementsThe ideal candidate will demonstrate:
*Previous experience within road freight or transport operations (sales support or operational role)
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
