A well known, nationwide business based in Watford have exclusively partnered with SRM Recruitment to find an experienced Bookkeeper to join their accounting team.
This opportunity will suit a detail-orientated and proactive Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeper to support the organisations financial operations through accurate data entry, processing of accounts payable and maintaining various accounting software, mainly Xero.
You will be working on Xero and Excel on a daily basis, as well as being responsible for managing the accounts inbox, you will possess a strong eye for detail and strong organisational skills.
Responsibilities to include:
*Manage and process accounts payable transactions efficiently and accurately
*Assist with data entry tasks related to financial records and transactions
*Support the finance team in reconciling accounts using Xero
*Maintain organised records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
*Assist in preparing financial reports and statements as required
*Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely processing of financial data
Experience:
*Proven experience working with Xero is desirable but not essential
*Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper or Accounts Assistant
*Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
*Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
