What you’ll do
Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll provide accurate finance and admin support to a business with around £5m in turnover. You’ll take ownership of key financial processes and shape them with your ideas.
Your day-to-day will include:
*Handling purchase and sales ledger transactions, including credit control
*Carrying out bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations, including journals for accruals, prepayments and depreciation
*Managing fixed assets
*Overseeing month-end and year-end close activities
*Completing quarterly VAT returns
*Covering weekly/monthly payroll processing when needed
*Monthly Management Accounts/Variance analysis
What you’ll need
*AAT qualified or equivalent experience.
*Solid experience in preparing accounts to Trial Balance; beyond this is a bonus.
*Strong experience with Sage 50 Accounts and Payroll, or similar
*Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
