Job Description:
Civil Enforcement Officer
Location: Harlow, Essex
Hours: Monday to Friday 07:30am - 19:00pm
Duration: Temporary ongoing
Pay Rate: £15.97 per hour
We are delighted to be supporting our local client in recruiting for a Civil Enforcement Officer on a temporary basis!
Purpose of the role:
The main purpose of this post is to patrol local areas to Issue PCN’s for parking violations, enforce rules, move traffic contraventions, collect evidence and provide customer service to the public.
Main Responsibilities:
*To patrol and enforce on-street and off-street parking areas across the partnership to enable the provision of an efficient and effective service.
*Issue of Penalty Charge Notices (PCN) in accordance with procedures, instructions and relevant Parking Orders currently in operation ensuring legal requirements are maintained.
*To appear at adjudication hearings/court as required.
*Report any defects that may affect the smooth running of the service to the relevant Operations Manager, particularly lines and signs.
*To ensure that all internal and external communication formats are read and responded to as required.
*Compliance with our data protection policies and procedures to ensure that personal data is handled in an appropriate manner – safely and securely.
Key Person Specification:
*Numerate and Literate.
*Have accurate and clear communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to apply them to different audiences and circumstances.
*Full, Clean UK Diving Licence (Manual) is essential.
*Some knowledge of the Roads & Streets in the North Essex Parking Partnership.
*The successful post holder will be able to work flexibly as appropriate and work on a rota basis.
