We’re recruiting for an experienced Reservations Manager to join a well-established hotel in Glasgow, offering a commercially focused role with strong development opportunities. Key Responsibilities: In this Reservations Manager position, you’ll take ownership of the reservations function and lead from the front:
*Oversee the full reservations process, from enquiry handling to confirmation and issue resolution
*Manage all bookings across direct and third-party channels, ensuring accurate availability and preventing overbookings
*Efficiently manage OTAs to drive occupancy and performance within Glasgow
*Implement pricing and selling strategies across all market segments, working closely with Commercial and Sales teams
*Lead, recruit and train the reservations team, including rota planning and shift management
*Conduct appointments and show-rounds for prospective clients, supporting revenue opportunities
*Apply commercial judgement, considering total revenue, lifetime value and displacement when assessing enquiries
*Ensure full compliance with hotel policies and procedures
What we’re looking for: To succeed as a Reservations Manager, you’ll bring:
*Proven experience in a busy hotel Reservations environment
*Background within a branded hotel group would be advantageous
*Strong communication and customer service skills
*Confidence analysing market data and competitor performance
*The ability to lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team
*Strong PMS knowledge and a solid understanding of revenue management
*Experience working closely with sales functions, including Group Sales
