Job Description:
We’re seeking an experienced Scientific Leader to lead and manage scientific direction across product and process development for our client - a global player in the field of diagnostics. You’ll oversee the full project lifecycle - from feasibility through to validation and regulatory approval, ensuring compliance with GMP and global regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
The role of Department Leader is a pivotal role within the organisation.
*Lead and deliver product development projects to agreed timelines and quality standards.
*Provide scientific expertise in assay development, validation, and product licensure.
*Analyse and interpret complex data; prepare technical and regulatory reports.
*Mentor and develop junior scientists, ensuring high scientific standards across the team.
*Collaborate cross-functionally and represent the department in technical reviews and external interactions.
*Drive continuous improvement in product performance, process robustness, and documentation compliance.
Skills and experience:
*Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline with significant industry experience.
*Strong background in blood group serology, disease screening or immunology within a GMP environment.
*Proven leadership and project management skills.
*Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication abilities.
*Knowledge of design control, diagnostic / medical device product development, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
