Job Description:
Solicitor – Litigation
Temporary | Inside IR35
Ribble Recruitment is assisting a large housing organisation with the recruitment of two experienced Litigation Solicitors to support their in-house Legal Services team on a temporary basis.
This is a hands-on litigation role focused on housing management and landlord & tenant matters, requiring candidates who are confident running cases from instruction through to conclusion.
Assignment Details
*Duration: 5 weeks
*Hours: 35 per week
*Location: Clerkenwell, London
*Week 1: Full-time office attendance
*Thereafter: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
Pay Rates
*PAYE: £45.00 per hour
*Umbrella / Ltd: £59.14 per hour
Key Responsibilities
*Provide legal advice and assistance on housing management and landlord & tenant litigation matters
*Conduct litigation including (but not limited to):
*Anti-social behaviour injunctions and possession claims
*Committal applications
*Tenancy fraud possession claims
*Access injunctions
*Housing disrepair claims
*Environmental Protection Act prosecutions
*Court of Protection applications
*Money claims
*Draft pleadings and court documents including:
*Notices seeking possession
*Claim forms and particulars
*Defences and replies
*Counterclaims
*Witness statements and trial bundles
*Brief Counsel and undertake advocacy where appropriate
*Represent the organisation at court and tribunals, including First Tier Tribunal matters
*Liaise effectively with internal officers, external solicitors, Counsel, and partners
*Support witnesses, including out-of-office visits where required (ASB cases)
*Maintain accurate case management records and legal data
*Support junior team members and provide cover for colleagues when required
Essential Requirements
*Valid and current Law Society Practising Certificate (Solicitor)
*OR
*Bar Council certificate with confirmed rights to conduct litigation (Barrister)
*Strong experience in housing litigation / landlord & tenant law
*Ability to manage a varied litigation caseload with minimal supervision
*Excellent drafting, advocacy, and communication skills
*Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory framework within housing organisations
Enhanced DBS and driving licence are not required for this role.
