Paraplanner – Barnet £40,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience)
Full-time, permanent
This role is an office based role which will suit an experienced Paraplanner who enjoys the technical side of advice and wants to be close to the action. You’ll be working directly with the advisers and practice principal, supporting a steady flow of client work and producing clear, compliant documentation.

The businessThis is a well-established wealth planning practice with a long-term, relationship-driven approach. The team is small, professional and quality-focused, with access to strong technical guidance, robust compliance support and structured development through a respected advice framework.
The roleYou’ll support the advice process end to end, typically:
*Working with advisers to understand client objectives and build planning solutions
*Producing suitability reports, illustrations and client-facing documentation
*Building Voyant (or similar) cashflow models and scenarios
*Completing technical calculations such as annual allowance, drawdown reviews, critical yield and income sustainability
*Liaising with providers, ceding schemes, and third parties to obtain information and progress cases
*Identifying missing information early and keeping cases moving
*Quality checking work so cases are handed over in a finished condition
*Supporting improvement of documentation standards and case turnaround times
There will also be the opportunity to attend client meetings and contribute to continual improvement across processes and planning standards.
Experience & qualificationsEssential:
*Paraplanning experience within financial services
*Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, protection and tax planning
*Comfortable producing suitability reports and cashflow models
Desirable:
*Level 4 / DipPFS (or working towards)
*Experience with more complex planning, including defined benefit analysis and later life work
*Confident dealing with third parties by phone to resolve queries quickly
