Job Description:
Futures are supporting an innovative technology business at the forefront of electronics R&D in their search for an Electronics Technician. This is a hands-on role supporting product development, production support and engineering problem-solving within a highly technical environment.
As an Electronics Technician, you will take ownership of investigating returned and faulty products, carrying out component-level fault-finding, repair and testing. Working closely with the R&D team, you will also support prototype builds and new product introduction activities.
Electronics Technician – Day-to-Day Responsibilities
*Investigate and repair customer returns and internal hardware faults
*Perform component-level fault diagnosis and root cause analysis
*Use electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters and signal generators
*Support prototype build, test and validation activities
*Collaborate with hardware and R&D engineers on complex issues
*Maintain high standards of workmanship and documentation
Electronics Technician – Key Skills & Experience
*Strong component-level fault-finding experience
*Confident using electronic test and measurement equipment
*Excellent soldering and rework skills (through-hole and SMT)
*Ability to read schematics and follow technical documentation
*Background in electronics assembly, test, repair or production support
*HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electronic, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering
