You’ll have the space to focus, prioritise, and apply your judgement without constant noise.

* Owning a large and varied ledger, with responsibility for both business to business and consumer accounts
* Chasing overdue debt in a firm but fair way, in line with agreed terms and processes
* Identifying risk early and escalating potential bad debts appropriately
* Preparing cases for legal action and liaising with third-party debt collection partners
* Investigating unallocated cash and resolving complex queries
* Supporting wider credit control activity during periods of change and system improvement
* Producing month-end and ad-hoc reporting to give clear visibility of debtor positions
* Acting as a senior point of reference for payment plans and best practice

* Proven experience as Credit Controller
* Confidence managing large, complex ledgers with minimal supervision
* Strong knowledge of UK credit control processes and compliance requirements
* The ability to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders at all levels
* A calm, methodical approach and the confidence to make sound decisions

* £30,000 - £35,000 salary depending on experience
