I’m currently supporting a well-established accountancy practice that is looking to appoint an experienced Part-Time Payroller to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practice experience who is seeking a flexible role with a supportive environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of client payrolls, ensuring accurate and timely processing across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly cycles. This position requires strong attention to detail, confidence working autonomously, and the ability to handle multiple payrolls simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
*End-to-end processing of multiple client payrolls
*Managing starters, leavers, and payroll amendments
*Calculating statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, etc.)
*Submitting RTI and liaising with HMRC
*Producing payslips, reports, and year-end documentation
*Responding to client queries in a professional, timely manner
*Staying up to date with payroll legislation and compliance requirements
About You
*Experience within an accountancy practice is essential
*Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation
*Confident using payroll software (e.g., BrightPay, IRIS, Sage, Xero Payroll, etc.)
*Excellent accuracy and organisational skills
*Professional, approachable, and able to build strong client relationships
*Reliable and able to manage your own portfolio effectively
