Job Description:
Interim Year-End Accountant (IFRS) - 6-Month Contract
Location: Hatfield - 3 days per week
Savant is partnering with an international organisation to recruit an experienced Interim Year-End Accountant (IFRS)to support a critical year-end reporting cycle. This is a high-impact role suited to a technically strong accountant who can comfortably operate at both strategic and hands-on levels.
The Role Working closely with the Group Finance leadership team, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of the year-end financial reporting process. You’ll provide expert technical accounting support, lead the preparation of the consolidated IFRS accounts, and manage the audit from end to end. This role requires someone who can switch effortlessly between complex technical work and detailed operational activity.
Key Responsibilities * Prepare high-quality technical accounting papers, including impairment assessments (intangible assets & goodwill), going concern evaluations, and other key judgment areas.
* Lead the preparation of the group’s IFRS financial statements.
* Build and implement a new IFRS consolidation model to support accurate reporting.
* Project manage the year-end audit, coordinating deliverables, addressing queries, and ensuring timelines are met.
* Manage the signing process for a complex set of group IFRS accounts.
* Support operational financial tasks, including resolving audit queries and gathering or validating supporting documentation.
* Provide input to ongoing refinancing activities and contribute to the FY27 budget process.
About You * A seasoned IFRS technical accountant with extensive experience in international, multi-entity environments.
* Strong understanding of international tax considerations.
* Comfortable working both at a high technical level and "in the weeds" when needed.
* Advanced Excel user with strong modelling skills.
* Confident stakeholder manager with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
* Highly organised, proactive, and able to operate independently.
