Finance Manager – Tax & Corporate Reporting
Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to support our Leicester-based client with the recruitment of a permanent new team member.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional with a background in the not-for-profit, charity or local government sectors. The role involves delivering high-quality corporate finance support, statutory year-end responsibilities, and oversight of indirect taxation while leading a small, friendly and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead revenue monitoring, corporate budgeting and statutory year-end processes.
*Prepare and review working papers for the Statement of Accounts and liaise with external auditors.
*Provide specialist advice on financial strategy, legislation and organisational policy.
*Oversee VAT and indirect taxation compliance, including management of external advisers.
*Develop and influence organisational financial policies.
*Manage and support a small finance team, promoting professional development and collaboration.
Preferred Background and Experience
*Experience in not-for-profit, charity or local government finance.
*Strong background in corporate finance, financial planning and statutory accounts.
*Indirect tax experience, or willingness to develop this with full training provided.
*Qualified accountant (CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
*Strong analytical, communication and leadership skills.
